We’ve combined our September and October updates into a single blog, as we’ve been deeply focused on preparing for the upcoming harvest! Happy reading amigos.
The Long-Awaited Coffee Harvest Is Here!
The harvest season is just around the corner, estimated start is mid-November, filling us with excitement and anticipation. This year, we’ve worked tirelessly to ensure everything is ready to welcome the season with open arms.
Preparation mode is at Full Capacity (100%)
We have been working non-stop to ensure every detail is in place. Our new drying patio is ready to receive the coffee, and all our equipment has undergone complete maintenance to guarantee efficient processing. Our storage facilities are prepared to handle the harvest with the utmost care, and our expanded capacity is ready for the 2024/2025 harvest.
- Cement Patio Expansion
With the expansion of our infrastructure, we are well-equipped to handle larger quantities of coffee, allowing us to extend our support to more farmers and enhance the quality of service we provide.
- New Storage Facility
Our new storage facility not only optimizes our space but also ensures that each coffee bean is kept in ideal conditions, preserving its freshness and quality.
- Increased Export Processing Capacity
We are committed to improving and adapting to our customers’ needs, and our increased processing capacity this year reflects our dedication to excellence. This enhancement will enable us to provide even more efficient, high-quality service.
Rigorous Equipment Maintenance
Thorough maintenance of all our equipment is essential to ensure each step of processing is carried out with precision and efficiency.
Training in Sustainable Practices
One of our primary goals is to help small producers implement sustainable practices on their farms. Through workshops and training sessions, we’ve shared techniques that not only enhance coffee quality but also contribute to the health of the environment. Sustainability is at the heart of coffee’s future.
We are deeply grateful for each blessing we receive, and we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible team. All the work you see here, from new cement patios to new warehouse, is done by our local labor force. There is nothing they cannot do and we are blessed to be able to provide employment and development for them. Their dedication and hard work are the driving forces behind what we do. Thanks to them, we are 100% ready to kick off this 2024/2025 harvest season with enthusiasm.
The countdown has begun, and we can’t wait to share the magic of this season with you. Let the harvest begin!
Sustainability in Action
In September and October, we have focused on producing corn on our farm. This staple grain is essential for our harvesters and our entire community – we use corn to make tortillas and we eat lots of those.
But our commitment to sustainability doesn’t end there. We finished applying over four-thousand sacks (100Lbs/sack) of compost (organic fertilizers) we produced on our farms, a practice that enriches our soils and returns to the plants a portion of what they give to us. This approach not only enhances the quality of our crop but also protects the environment, promoting a healthy cycle in our cultivation process. Sustainability is a daily commitment, and every action counts in building a better future for everyone.
A Colorful September at Our School!
This month has been vibrant at our school, filled with celebrations that brought the entire community together. We began with Flag Day, where our students learned about the significance of our national symbols. We then celebrated Children’s Day, with laughter and games. Independence Day followed, a time to remember our history and values. And to close the month, we honored our dedicated teachers, who inspire and guide our children every day.
