A Dream Come True: The New Playground for Our School!

July has been an incredible month for our school! Thanks to the generosity of The Matiak Foundation and our donors, the dream of having a playground has finally come true. Our kids now have a vibrant and exciting space to enjoy during recess. Seeing their faces light up with joy and enthusiasm as they play with friends is priceless. Every smile and laugh reminds us of the importance of providing happy and fun moments. We're grateful to everyone who made this incredible playground possible. The kids couldn't be happier, and we're thrilled to see them enjoy their new play area!

We want to give a special thank you to the Lopez Family, Loomis Family, Swift and Finch Coffee Roasters, and Alma Coffee for contributing the funds necessary to make this playground a reality.

If you can donate, no amount is too small. Visit https://matiakfoundation.com/donate/  to support our cause. Your donation is fully tax-deductible. You can also email the foundation directly at info@matiakfoundation.com  and/or Harry (harry@fincatcoffee.com) or Al (al@fincatcoffee.com) to discuss the impact of your support.

Exporting with Passion!

We're thrilled to share that we're continuing to advance in the exportation of our coffee. Every day, our team works tirelessly with dedication and passion to ensure that each coffee sack reaches you with the utmost care and love. Our goal is for you to receive a high-quality, extraordinary bean every time.

Thanks to your support, we can keep bringing our extraordinary coffee right to your roasting operation. Thank you for being part of this journey and allowing us to share the best of our coffee with you!

If you are not yet buying from us, please support our farm by roasting our family's coffee. Request samples at the bottom of our website https://www.fincatcoffee.com or email harry@fincatcoffee.com. We're expecting to sell out of our washed coffee again this year, so be sure to reach out to Harry to discuss booking and secure the volumes you need.

Rainy Days: Benefits and Challenges for our Operation!

The rains have continued to pour down in July, bringing both benefits and challenges to our farm. This has been quite the turnaround from May, when we received less than normal rainfall. We've witnessed the wonders that these rains have worked on our plants. The steady showers have allowed our coffee plants to regain their health and vitality. Many of the plants that were looking a bit wilted are now thriving with a vibrant green hue and renewed freshness. This resurgence is evident in the way the leaves shine and the growth they display.

The rains also bring challenges when it comes to getting your coffee from the farm to the port. Getting your containers through this river (Rio Aruco) is challenging as the water levels rise and in many cases, destroy the only bridge in and out of the Town of Corquin!  Our logistics planning has to be perfect to make it work.  We are happy to report that we have never missed a shipment.

In summary, despite the challenges, we can't help but find joy in the rain. It reminds us of nature's beauty and allows us to share special moments with our customers. Recently, we've had the pleasure of welcoming visitors to our farm, who got to experience firsthand how we work off-harvest season and live the magic of the fields under the rain. We were all acting as kids!
